This play for senior pupils deals with the excitement and responsibilities involved with becoming a new driver and getting your first car. It follows the lives of four friends; Bruce, Vicky, Stevie and Jody who see the acquisition of a car as their passage into adulthood. Soon however, Stevie’s erratic driving becomes a cause for concern. The friendships begin to fragment and the play culminates in an accident that leaves their lives badly affected. The production shows how the dreams and ambitions of young people can be utterly shattered in a moment by someone driving carelessly.
“Slickly performed, appropriate to the age groups, humour but with a hard hitting message - a very positive addition to our PSE programme for S5 and 6.”
